Sunlight and Colour Aging: Like all natural wood products, our solid oak engraved pieces can change colour tone when left in direct sunlight, some woods fade while others darken.

• An Advantage of Oak: Oak resists sun rays much better than most woods and will only darken very slowly over time.

• The Antique Look: For many this subtle darkening is a desirable feature that creates a beautiful aged patina similar to that of some types of antique furniture.

• The Original Look: If you prefer your engraved oak item to maintain its fresh, original appearance, display your piece away from direct sunlight. While it will still change colour tone slightly over a long period the difference will be barely noticeable.

Cleaning & Maintenance: All our solid oak engraved gift items are professionally spray sealed and lacquered, meaning they never require re-finishing to keep their surface looking beautiful.

To clean your engraved items:

• Dampen a soft cloth with plain warm water.

• Gently wipe the surface whenever you feel it needs refreshing.

• Avoid harsh chemicals or wood polishes, as the lacquered finish is already protecting the wood

• Not suitable for dishwashers
